1951 Topps Red Backs Blue Backs

The release is divided into two distinct 52-card series, officially known as the Red Backs and Blue Backs
  • Design & Game Mechanics: The cards measure exactly 2 inches by 2 5/8 inches, featuring rounded corners and black-and-white player headshots on vibrant, multi-colored backgrounds. The reverse sides were designed to replicate a baseball diamond and used for an intricate tabletop playing game. 
  • Series Scarcity: Red Backs were found in larger quantities, making them generally more common to find today. Blue Backs are highly scarce and more highly valued by vintage set builders. 
Key Variations: The set includes variations for cards #36 (Gus Zernial) and #52 (Tommy Holmes) because the players changed teams during the production
